DCAT (Doing Church As a Team) is a leadership training conference, held every year in Japan and Hawaii, which was started by New Hope Christian Fellowship Oahu in Hawaii. Participants come from all over the world. DCAT is designed to help not just church leaders, but also all Christians who want to live a Christ-centered life at home and at work.
Pastor Wayne Cordeiro planted New Hope Christian Fellowship Oahu and within a short time it grew to over 15,000 attendees. This wasn’t his work alone. Pastor Wayne believes that each Christian is a full-time minister, gifted according to God’s purposes, to be part of a team that shares the gospel and touches people’s lives.
This year’s DCAT Japan 2009 will feature content from Wayne Cordeiro’s new book, The Encore Church (a church people will want to come back to), teaching us how our churches can shine God’s glory in an attractive way that influences people.
Altogether there will be four general sessions on Thursday evening, Friday evening, and Saturday on The Encore Church. There will also be three breakout sessions on topics such as church leadership and solving the problems that we face in everyday life.
